The evenings are cooling off and the days are getting shorter – winter’s not far away. And if the mountains are calling, there’s some great news from Hanmer Springs Ski Area.

They have decided once again to keep our membership rates very affordable for 2025. It’s the kind of thing that reminds you why local ski fields matter. Below are the details for you.
The structure and pricing are remaining the same.
PRE SEASON MEMBERSHIP SUBS OFFER : Available from April 1 2025 – June 30 2025
$280 Family – can be reduced to $200 by doing two work parties, or $240 by doing one work party.
$180 Senior – can be reduced to $100 by doing two working parties, or $140 by doing one work party.
$50 Junior/Student/Non-Skiing Member
Along with paying your memberships, They also need a hand to get jobs done in preparation for opening this winter. They still have some painting to finish, more R&M on both the Poma and the Rope Tow. Also, they have a lot of firewood to deal with at Branch Creek. Please get in touch if you have a log splitter, you can bring to a working bee.

3/4 May – Uni Snow Sale, Haere-roa, 90 Ilam Road, Christchurch
17/18 May – on the hill.
The Annual Canterbury Snow Sale is on the 3rd/4th of May
Drop your gear off to sell on Saturday from 10am – 3pm
The Sale is on Sunday, 9am – 3:30pm
They also seek helpers to promote the club and sell day passes and accommodation deals on both of these days. If you can spare a few hours, let us know.
