Treble Cone officially kicked off the 2025 winter season last Saturday, and what better way to do it than with 25cm of fresh snow up top in the Home Basin? First chair honours went to six eager skiers and snowboarders, each rewarded with a “Bragging Rights” tee and a hot water bottle, courtesy of Wilson & Dorset – not a bad way to start the day.
Laura Hedley, Chief Mountains Officer for Cardrona and Treble Cone, summed it up perfectly:
“It’s been the most incredible morning in the snow, seeing locals and visitors alike get amongst for TC’s Opening Day.”
With a warm front having rolled through Te Waipounamu earlier this week, she said it was a welcome relief to see a solid snowfall: “It was great to get a decent dump of snow and score some fresh turns for the first day of the season here.”
