Introducing Cardrona’s Skiwees and Lowriders
Cardrona’s Skiwees and Lowriders is more than just a ski programme, it’s four days of fun, confidence-building, and lifelong memories, for both kids and parents.
Running Monday to Thursday throughout the season, Skiwees (for skiers aged 5+) and Lowriders (for snowboarders aged 7+) are designed to help young snow lovers feel right at home on the mountain.
They spend each day with the same instructor and group, giving them the chance to form real friendships and grow in confidence with every turn. Meanwhile, parents get to explore New Zealand’s biggest ski area, knowing their little legends are in great hands.
Here’s what’s included
- Four full days on the snow with the same instructor and group
- Daily hot lunches – no snack stops or meltdowns halfway down the run
- Free helmet hire – one less thing to think about
- Theme days, including Ride with Family Wednesday – where you’re invited to join in
- Progress report on day four – a proud moment (and great for the fridge)
- Gear storage at The Den – so there’s no dragging boots and skis to the car
Whether it’s their first time on snow or they’re already cruising the beginner slopes, this is where kids build confidence, make friends, and fall in love with skiing or snowboarding – all while you enjoy some well-earned time on the mountain yourself.
