Fancy skiing indoors? Snowplanet, located in Auckland is a great place to learn, or improve techniques, with slopes for beginners through to experts. I have skied there many times and it’s always been fun!

Snowplanet, just a 30 minute drive from the heart of Auckland is an immersive experience that allows you to enjoy real snow without having to travel to mountain ranges. And because it’s all indoors, there is always snow.
I personally love this part: the café is right next door, with huge clear windows, so you can watch your family and friends ski on the indoor slopes while staying nice and warm. For anyone who’s taken kids to the slopes, this is a big deal!

Mountain Information:
Equipment Available: Visitors can rent skis, snowboards, boots, gloves, pants, jackets, helmets – in fact, pretty much everything they need except socks and beanies.

The Wonderland includes two snow tubing tracks and a tobogganing area
For First Timers and absolute Beginners, they have a Beginner’s area serviced by a 70m ski mat. If you’re still not sure about your skill level or if you’ve never skied or snowboarded before, booking a lesson is recommended.
